The other important need was that students could collaborate on making weekly current events presentations. Each week two students would explain in detail contemporary pirate news. Before to fulfill this we used “Etherpads” which was an early real-time document-collaboration tool. However it wasn’t necessary that we edited in real-time, most talk was logistical in sorting order and avoiding duplication of presentations.
