Mister Handsome Venezuela is an annual male pageant held in Venezuela. The winner and finalists from the contest go on to represent Venezuela in many international pageants. The Mister Handsome Venezuela pageant was started under the guardianship of Venezuelan journalist Alberto Maneiro with the intent of creating a male contest with the same discipline, quality and success as its male counterpart (Mister Venezuela). The first contest was held on August 31, 2005 and the winner was Domenico Dell' Olio from Caracas.
Nevertheless, the first titleholder of the Mister Handsome Venezuela title was actually designated after the winning of this in the Mister Handsome International pageant celebrated in the Dominican Republic, the recipient was Juan Hilario Pérez from the state of Lara who previously participated in the Mister Venezuela 2004 edition representing the Zulia state.
In 2013, after Maneiro resignation as president of the organization, the contest begins a new era under the direction of Alirio Martínez and Oswaldo Santana as part of the executive committee. For his part, Maneiro created a new male contest named Mister Universe Venezuela (Mister Universo Venezuela in Spanish) awarding the Mister Universe franchise.

Venezuela had acumulated a total of five wins at the Big Seven male pageants. The first went to Sandro Finoglio, when he won the Mister World 1998 contest. The next year, Ernesto Calzadilla competed at the Manhunt International 1999 pageant in Manila, Philippines. Other victories are Mister Universe 2011 with Juan Pablo Gómez, Mister International 2013 with José Anmer Paredes and Mister Supranational 2017 with Gabriel Correa.
