Seattle Grizzlies Australian Rules Football Club
The Seattle Grizzlies are an Australian Rules Football Club located in Seattle, Washington, who compete in the USAFL. The club won the 2008 USAFL Division 2 Championship and were runners-up for the USAFL Division 1 Championship, losing a hard-fought match to rivals the Denver Bulldogs by a point.
The club was formally founded in 1999 and competed in their first USAFL National Championships the same year. Throughout the club's existence, the team has progressed several players into the national representative team, the USA Revolution, including Colin Murphy, Zach Johns, Ryan Kastl, Kevin Stanley, Kiel Rasp and Max DePina.
The club's Best and Fairest Player for the season is awarded the Jim Trenerry Trophy. The club's Most Courageous Player is awarded the Adam Cannane Medal and the player voted Best Club Person receives the Flaherty Cup.
