My name's Matt Flaschen. I'm a software engineer on the Wikimedia Foundation's Core Features team. My Gerrit/Wikitech/Labs username is mattflaschen. I'm matt_flaschen on IRC. My primary project is Flow, a new discussion system for MediaWiki.
I've also worked on GettingStarted and Guided tours, and on improving the process of Wikipedia article creation.
See also my user page on MediaWiki.org.
This is my staff account.
I work for or provide services to the Wikimedia Foundation, and this is the account I try to use for edits or statements I make in that role. However, the Foundation does not vet all my activity, and edits, statements, or other contributions made by this account may not reflect the views of the Foundation.
My personal account, for edits unrelated to my job, is Mattflaschen.

I'm impressed by your answer at phab:T78424, which is a model worth emulating in several ways:
• The diligent way you researched and clarified the problem
• Your patient explanation of the function of the spike
• The helpful link to phab: T66778 and
• Your educating request for using diffs in the future.
