My name is Matthew Turner. I was born on July 3rd 1987. I live and work in a town called East Kilbride in Scotland. I work as a civil servant for HM Revenue and Customs and have done since 2006.

My interests are soccer more specifically Rangers. I also like relaxing, reading, watching tv and surfing the net. My favourite films include Full Metal Jacket, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy and Independence Day. I love the Harry Potter books and my music tastes range from the 1970s to the modern day.

I have a great passion for earthquakes and have been avidly following them since probably 2001. I find them a fascinating phenomenon although I dont like when they cause great loss of life. My intentions are to create a series of articles going from 1900 to the present day giving people an insight into the recent history of them and how they have impacted human life. I am looking forward to the challenge of creating these articles and hope that whoever reads them finds them informative.

I will aim to branch out into other areas once this lengthy task has been completed and also get a picture on of my ugly face.
