Usage
[edit]This template is intended to be placed on a user talk page to advise the creator or principal contributors to an article that such article is the subject of a requested move at Wikipedia:Requested moves/Current discussions.
To use, append {{subst:Move notice|Name of nominated page|Name of target page}} ~~~~
to a user talk page or WikiProject talk page; a section heading will be automatically created.
Examples:
{{subst:Move notice | ARTICLE NAME | TARGET NAME}} ~~~~
{{subst:Move notice | ARTICLE NAME }} ~~~~
The template should always be substituted lest attempted replies should modify the template page; editors are encouraged to modify substituted templates to suit unique circumstances.
Warning: Aggressive use of this template may be seen as canvassing, which is disruptive and may lead to the canvasser(s) being blocked. Normally you can notify the creator of a page, the principal contributors, participants in previous move discussions, and relevant WikiProjects. The wmflabs Page history statistics tool may be used to identify principal contributors to an article by number of edits or bytes.
Options
[edit]You can change the level-two header to a level-three header:
{{subst:Move notice | ARTICLE NAME | TARGET NAME | header=3}}
