Photoshopcontest.Com is a free online community. The concept of the site is that of a daily image manipulation contest. Each day visitors to the site are shown the "source" picture for that day's contest. The contests are open for entry by registered users (registration is currently free).

The idea is to take the daily source picture and edit it using whatever image manipulation techniques the user has at their disposal. The most common is the use of Adobe's Photoshop software. However other users have successufully used other programs such as The GIMP, Macromedia Fireworks, etc.

Once the user has edited the picture they can upload their entry (again for free) to the contest site. Then other registered users cast votes for the pictures that they like. Comments on pictures are encouraged and often take a humorous tone.

Voting is enabled for registered users once they have submitted 10 contest entries. This restriction keeps the voting limited to the members who are more serious about participating in the site's activities.
