Interpretation
[edit]The poem makes use of many poetic devices, such as personification, to illustrate the strength of the metaphorical "rose" to overcome obstacles, much the way Tupac overcame obstacles in his own life.[1] It is widely seen as an inspirational tale of making something of yourself despite low expectations.[2]
