OKC Top Gun Hockey
[edit]OKC Top Gun Hockey is a recreational adult hockey house and travel team that is based out of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. They are a member team of the Metropolitan Division in the Oklahoma City Adult Hockey League (OKCAHL), the Oklahoma Division of the Beer Hockey League (BHL), and a member of the Beer Hockey League Players Association (BHLPA). TopGun OKC plays their home games out of Blazer's Ice Centre.
Origins
[edit]OKC Top Gun was first began in May of 2015 as a result of the Zebras franchise folding with short notice. The Zebras franchise was successful at winning two coveted City Cups prior to the organization's disbandment. TopGun was established by the remaining members of the Zebra organization as a last ditch effort to maintain an even number of teams in the league. With successful recruitment from out of state leagues and some waiver signees, the organization was rebranded as TopGun OKC. Under management of the PSM Consulting Group, the team has been invited and participated in tournaments in Wichita, Kansas, Dubuque, Iowa, Kansas City, Missouri, Dallas, Texas, Silverthorne, Colorado, and Toronto, Ontario.

[edit]Tournament Appearances
[edit]OKC Top Gun first participated in Wichita RiverFest in June of 2015, where they placed third in their division. The tournament was marred with questionable divisional assignments, but hilarity ensued regardless. The team traveled in an RV from OKC to Wichita and set up in the parking lot of Wichita Ice Center.
