Thanks to everybody who has helped me with my Spotted eagle ray article. It is now a GA! I have been off for a while, but I think we are allowed back on for second semester. You will find me on the Sand Tiger Shark and on the Quoll. Any help or suggestions are welcome!
I am currently involved in working on an AP Biology project that uses Wikipedia as a platform for the task. The first goal is to make the article to Good Article status. However, the ultimate goal is to get an article promoted to Featured Article status. It is a challenging task, but it is possible to accomplish. This is our project center: Wikipedia:WikiProject AP Biology 2011.
When I am not at school, I can almost surely be found in the gym. I train for competitive gymnastics four to five days a week, and I hold a coaching position at the gym. The team I train with currently consists of approximately 40 athletes. When I am working, I teach gymnasts ages 3-7. At my school, I am a member of the SADD club. I also am in the National Charity League. The National Charity League(NCL) is an organization that can be found nation wide in the USA. Members of NCL must complete a given amount of community service hours per year. Members complete different opportunities in mother/daughter teams. Additionally, I strive to stay actively involved in volunteerism throughout my community on an individual basis.
My gymnastics career started at the young age of four. I have been going to competitions state and region wide since age six. I have qualified for the Junior Olympic State Championships every year since the age of six. I have qualified for level four twice, level five twice, level 6 once, level 7 twice, and level eight once. I have over 50 medals. plaques and ribbons and several trophies as well. My strongest event is the Floor Exercise. I have won several first place medals on this particular event. In the competition season to come, I anticipate competing levels eight and nine. I plan to continue my gymnastics career past high school and join a club team at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Even more than my career in gymnastics, I focus on my school work. I have been an honors student through all my years of school thus far. In the seventh grade I was nominated and inducted into the National Junior Honor Society. In my freshman year of high school I took all honors classes and qualified for my school's Academic Achievement Award. Grades are and always will be very important to me. I am challenging myself this year with the AP Biology class and a schedule packed with other honors classes.
I am hoping to pursue a career in the medical field. I am strongly considering studying orthopedics or a form of sports medicine. My dream is to go to UNC Chapel Hill and attend the medical school there.
To all of the Wikipedians: I would be delighted to receive any suggestions or advice that can be provided. I am new to this Wikipedia editing concept, so I am appreciative of all the assistance I can get. Thanks!
