About me
I am currently a PhD student at the Plant Biology Department at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), Uppsala. I studied Biology and a Master's Degree in Biotechnology Applied to Conservation & Sustainable Management of Plant Resources, both at theUniversity of Oviedo, Spain. Overall, my reasearch focus on studying the interplay between stress response and epigenetic regulation in the model species Arabidopsis thaliana. One of my main interest is revealing the genome-wide epigenetic changes which take place during the stress caused by plant virus, such as Cucumber Mosaic Virus. Nevertheless, my work also includes abiotic stress, for instance oxidative or heat stress, in which I am taking a more gene-specific focus rather than genome-wide.
Research area
Epigenetics, plant stress
