Bremerton, Washington native Wayne Ayers graduated from Bremerton High School in 2014. He attended East Los Angeles College to study business. Ayers created WhereistheBuzz in 2018. He has been featured in Forbes, Business Insider, Yahoo Finance, Black Enterprise, Ebony Magazine, and more.
Early life
[edit]Wayne Ayers was born in Bremerton, Washington to Andrea Lucy Ayers and Wayne Donovan Ayers Sr. He is the younger sibling of Selena and Kiki Ayers. When Wayne was in the 6th grade, his mom, who raised him and his sisters as a single parent, got sick and had to stop working. By high school, he was homeless, bouncing between friends' couches and sometimes sleeping on the streets. At Bremerton High School, he won an Olympic league championship[1] for basketball in 2014. After high school graduation when moved to Los Angeles to attend East Los Angeles College.
Career
[edit]Ayers graduates from East Los Angeles College and became a bank teller after six months he quit. He started an Instagram page called WhereistheBuzz. After receiving so many followers in a few months, he decided to turn it into a media company. Since 2018, WhereistheBuzz produced some of the biggest media stories in the industry. They were the first to break the proud family returning[2] to Disney+, Halle Berry[3] uplifting black reporters on the red carpet, Lisa Kudrow[4] wanting to see a “Friends” reboot, and more. Wayne Ayers has been featured in Forbes[5], HuffPost[6], Black Enterprise[7], and Ebony Magazine. He made the 2021 Forbes Next 1000[8] list. His media company, WhereistheBuzz currently has over 200,000 combined followers throughout its social media platforms and receives over a million monthly visitors on its website. In 2019, he created The Wayne Ayers Podcast which featured celebrity guests such as Parker McKenna[9], Daisy Ridley, Coco Jones, Skylar Stecker, Kennedy McCann[10], Diamond White, Alix Lapri, Brittany O’Grady, and Lesley-Ann Brandt. In 2022, Wayne Ayers became a columnist for INC magazine[11].
Personal life
[edit]Wayne Ayers is a single man. He has no children. Some of his favorite things to do outside of work are playing basketball and watching anime. His favorite anime shows are Dragon Ball Z, One Piece, Naruto, Hunter x Hunter, Demon Slayer, and Attack on Titan. He also likes hanging out with his nephew Jules.
