Precursor of the modern newspaper
The following are precursors of the modern newspapers. For all intents and purposes, they are no different from the modern newspaper except for the fact that they were normally hand-written, and generally have smaller readership.
- Kaiyuan Za Bao (Kaiyuan newspaper), China (AD 713 - 734)
- Jing Bao (Peking Gazette), China (8th century AD - 1912)
- Avviso, Italy/Europe (Sometime during the early modern period)
