Felix Miles is a composer, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Originally from Cologne, Germany, Miles plays the saxophone, violin and piano. Composing, arranging and instrumental music are also at the center of his work.
Early Life
[edit]Miles grew up having a classical violin education, making his first step into music a classical one. During high school, he took part in composition classes and had already started to play the piano. Although the saxophone had always sparked his interest the most, it arrived last in his journey of musical exploration. Experimenting to find his own way of playing lead Miles to master the instrument as an autodidact.[1]
Career
[edit]Since the beginning of 2013, Miles had been working on "Wake up to Snow – An Even Better Christmas with Felix Miles", an all original Christmas album that was released on November 9, 2013. Miles lends his distinctively soulful and vintage voice along with his multi-instrument playing and composing to the Christmas repertoire. The collection of songs not only pay homage to classics from the 1920s, but also embody elegant jazz waltz, good-humored swing, emotive blues, passionate tango and even moving pop ballads. Miles' next project is recording his newest album which will be published by Blühmeer Music and is expected in 2014. [2]
