Variant major variants only with large differences between them
Crew number of people required to operate the aircraft
Capacity number of passengers the aircraft can carry. Multiple configurations possible
Cargo cargo that can be carried by an aircraft : weight, possibly type and/or volume
Length overall length of the airframe
Span wingspan of fixed wing aircraft, or the main rotor diameter for rotorcraft
Height overall height of an aircraft, landing gear extended
Area Wing area of fixed wing aircraft, or the total area of all main rotors
Aspect ratio wing aspect ratio of fixed wing aircraft
Weights
MTOW Maximum takeoff weight
MLW Maximum landing weight
MZFW Maximum zero-fuel weight
OEW Operating empty weight
Fuel capacity in weight and/or volume
Engines
Engine type (X×) manufacturer and model, wikilinked
Power or Thrust rated
Performance
Maximum speed maximum speed of the aircraft
Cruise speed cruise speed of the aircraft
Range maximum unrefuelled range of the aircraft
Endurance maximum flight endurance of the aircraft
Ceiling Maximum service altitude
Climb rate the maximum rate of climb for a powered aircraft (or time to altitude)
Fuel consumption fuel burn per distance or per hour
  • Unit conversions should be those given by the source if possible to avoid rounding errors, or use the Template:Convert
  • If necessary, speed in Mach should be converted with Template:Convert/Mach with a consistent altitude (e.g. ceiling)
  • Rows can be added for other characteristics, like "Propeller type" or "Takeoff/Landing distance" in the appropriate section
  • Rows can be hidden by putting them in comments if a characteristic isn't available
