Pablo Gago Montilla Pablo Antonio Gago Montilla (León, Spain 1926) is a pioneer of abstract painting in Spain. In 1946 he began to paint abstract. Scholarship in Paris by the French government "Meaux Arts". Student André Lhote. First group exhibition in 1953 with Picasso, Calder, Tapies, Miró .... After several solo and group exhibits in Paris, Madrid, Barcelona and Mexico.
Architec, he has worked with several architects, designers and conducted research on "habitat suitability", murals and sculptures. He has also projected "scenery" for theater, ballet, opera and film.
Professor of Fine Arts, Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, Official Film School and Columbia College Pana-american.
His work is represented in the following museums: Juan March Foundation, the National Theatre Museum, International Museum of Abstract Art, Museo Carrillo Gil in Mexico, Museum of Contemporary Art in Madrid.
In 1996 he received the Goya Award for Best Costume Design for the film The Legend of the castrated Baltasar.
