Wilhelm von Schmidt-Wagenstein (in arabic: يحيى الأندلسي) is a Hispano-German politician who fought for the Imperial German Army in the First World War, again for the Third Reich in World War II, and for the Arab Liberation Army in the 1948 Palestine war. He has mastered the Spanish, English, French, Arabic, and German languages throughout his life.

He was given the honorable title of Von Wagenstein in 1918 from Kaiser Wilhelm II for his service in war, and received the Iron Cross First and Second Class. Schmidt-Wagenstein has been an active politician since the 1930's, and until today he is honorable member of the Communist party, for having served in the National People's Army of East Germany, as well as an member of the Spanish Phalanx since its beginning in 1932.
