Dr.Janum Singh Soy(Aug 8,1950 till present)is famous figure in HO literature.He is well known for his poetry and novels.He opted his pen name as "Soy Sayob".Interest in HO culture made him today writer,a poet,the novelist and so on.People found of his art of cultivating poetic lines into song and giving a beautiful rythem to it.His song has deep meaning,whereas, that particular rythem made by him is very near to rythem of festive song sung by the tribes HO.

[edit]Dr.Janum Singh Soy got married on 1st march 1983 to Hira Devi who is then government teacher trainee.They had an arrange marriage.They have three children, the eldest one is Jay Singh Soy who is parents obedient follower as have opted teaching as his profession.Second one is Manisha Soy who is civil aspirants, third one is Madhurima Soy who is a Fashion Designer.Hira Devi got retired as a headmaster from Somaidih High School on January 2017. Soy Sayob were nine siblings whereas,he was third just after his three eldest sisters.
Life
[edit]Janum singh soy was born in gillitlongor,kokcho (bihar earlier),west singhbhum, to Jaroy soy and Jeema kui a tibal ho family. During his school life he was a bibliophile nature.He was an introvert but loves playing football. He proved to be the first son to step out from his home for further studies.He studied primary from Kokcho upper primary school(then bihar).He went for high school to chaibasa at Mangilal rungta high school,chaibasa,west singhbhum(then bihar).His interest in studies made him to bookworm throughout the journey. He belonged to an agriculture illiterate HO tribal family,but his father understood the importance of education who supported him in every twist and turn of his life.He completed his Matric in BSC,1966.Hindi became favorite subject since his childhood days.He scored quiet well in hindi which made him to go for Hindi honors and sucessfully completed degree on 1971 from a well known college Tata college, chaibasa. Further moved to ranchi for persueing master degree which was completed on 1974 from a renowned Ranchi university.During his college days he decided to take teaching as a profession Taking admission in b.ed was is first step to fulfill his dreams. His hard work soon paid off .He did made his space in Ghatsila college, Ghatsila in 1997 as Head of Hindi Department( HOD )that too by remarkable performance during his interview which was held in Patna(capital of then bihar) .Later,he tied knot to Hira devi who was then a 10th pass teacher trainee.Janum Singh was the one who motivated her to continue her studies and as a result she did completed her Bachleor degree in 1995.They were blessed with a baby boy on 21st october 1987 and getting appointed as a Reader in the same respective college made him happy.He started his PHD in 1990 that took him 3yrs to comlete it,and wrote a book named HO LOOK GEET KA SAHITYA AUR SANSKRITI ADHYAN,which was part of it.Dr.prasad who was the then HOD in ranchi university, guided him well and also suggested him to do research upon his own roots of identity.Janum Singh fixed himself doing research upon Ho culture.I was tough for him to rewrite things in waranchiti.As he belong to hindi background it was initially difficult for him but he bought the warang chitti book(script book of ho)he started from basics and never gave up.Dr. prasad's became the bacbone to guied him systematic way.And smoothed the road by providing various sources.1992 was the year he completed his PHD sucessfully, which made him today to DR.janum singh soy.

Marriage and children
[edit]Dr.Janum Singh Soy tied a knot to Hira Devi Soy on 3rd March 1983.They have three kids Joy Singh Soy,Manisha Soy and Madhurima Soy.
- Joy Singh Soy (born on 21st october) is followed path of his parent and opted teaching as his profession.
- Manisha Soy (born on 26th July) is into civil services.
- Madhurima Soy (born on 1st February) is a Fashion Designer.
