Hoffs, the recently coined unit of measurement quantifying momentum, originated in Gilbert, Arizona, USA. One Hoff is equivalent to one kg•m/s. The term "Hoff" is derived from the last name of the lead member of the Scientific Team In Charge of Naming Units (STICONU).
