While Christine and Paul are being transported to the hospital following a car accident, Ashley plans to go on a trip with Blade to save their relationship. Observing the delighted air of John Abbott, Jill deduces that something is going on against her.

In the hospital, everyone is in shock after Paul and Christine's accident and their condition remains critical. Ashley agrees to accompany Blade on a trip. Jack tries to understand why Luan refuses to accompany him to the Caribbean. Mari Jo takes advantage of this event to try to win him back.

Jill alerts John Silva about John's secret operation. Ashley announces to Brad that she is going to the Caribbean with Blade.
# 5525	Friday January 6
Ashley and Blade are in the Virgin Islands. Blade's twin brother Rick is spying on them. Brad arrives. He asks for Ashley's room's number. Later, he runs into Mary-Jo who came to surprise Jack. Victoria, Nick and Nikki talk about the great time they had with Victor during Chrismas holidays. Hope is back from Kansas. She thanks Victor for letting her stay there for so long. Nick and Matt argue at the coffee house. Later, Nick runs into Sharon and ends up kissing her. Sharon's guidance counsellor prevents Sharon from stopping her studies. Christine wakes up in the hospital. She remembers the accident and wants to see Paul. She cries when she sees him lying unconscious and starts telling Mary what happened. But all of a sudden, Paul opens his eyes. Mary asks for a moment alone with her son but Paul says he's tired and would like to sleep. He tells Chris to go to bed. He adds he loves her. Mary follows Christine outside of Paul's room. She says that Danny was in Christine's room when she wake up last night. Christine replies she never asked Danny to come; she doesn't even remember he was here last night. The man she loves is Paul.

Mari Jo goes to Saint Thomas in the Virgin Islands to try to win back Jack.
# 5527	Tuesday January 10
Blade's twin brother builds a strong room in an isolated house in the Virgin Islands in order to lock someone up.

Nick visits Doris to find out what is disturbing Sharon. Meanwhile, Sharon learns that her pregnancy test is negative.

Luan gets a call from Jack who asks her to join him in the Virgin islands. She declines when she hears Mary-Jo's voice on the phone. Mary-Jo does her best to seduce Jack, to no avail. Christine is released from the hospital. Paul would like to leave too. He wonders what doctors are hiding from him. Ryan and Victoria have dinner together. They run into Cole and his publisher on the dance floor. Back at home and after a little raw, Cole and Victoria reconcile under the shower. Nina confronts Ryan for having dinner with his ex-wife. Ryan begs her to trust him.

Drucilla invites Malcolm to her home to settle the problem of paternity of his child. Ryan helps Nina work on her history exam. Jack searches for the words to break definitively with Mari Jo.

On the advice of her lawyer, Jill asks Victor to testify in her favour in court. Jack is tired of Mari Jo and decides to end their relationship.
