My name is Mohammed Aldosari (Arabic: محمد الدوسري). I am from Saudi Arabia. I was born in Riyadh in 1991 and was raised in Alkharj. In 2014, I obtained a bachelor degree in Information Systems from Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University (PSAU), which is located at Alkharj, Saudi Arabia. While in my undergraduate program, I worked on several projects including the last year graduation project which is called Email Marketing Solutions. The goal of this project was to analyze, design, and implement easy to use commercial web-based application that allows individuals to prepare and manage their email lists, prepare well attractive campaigns, and send their campaigns to a group of people. Also, it provides users with some tracking information about their sent campaigns. Moreover, I had an internship at Saudi Aramco.
Currently, I am an international graduate student at the School of Information Sciences (iSchool) at the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt). Specifically, I am pursing my master’s in the field of Information Science with a concentration on Big Data analytics. I have decided to pursue my education in big data analytics after taking the introductory Data Mining course in my undergraduate program. While in iSchool, I would like to have a solid foundation of knowledge and to develop my skills set in big data analytics.
I am a participant student in the Classroom Program which is one of the Wiki Education Foundation programs. I will be mostly contributing to topics related to social computing and gradually contribute to other topics. I am really excited to start this new experience and work with others contributing to Wikipedia.
