[edit]Mental Health in Louisiana State Penitentiary
[edit]I have a particular interest in prison reform and inmate care. There is a particularly notorious prison in Louisiana known as Angola (or Louisiana State Penitentiary). Renowned for its horrendous conditions and treatment of inmates, I am interested in adding to the Louisiana State Penitentiary Wikipedia page by creating a new stub under Inmate Life called Mental Health. Here, I would like to talk about the mental health programs in place at Angola and their results (or lack thereof). I would also likely mention data regarding mental health in prisons broadly. Finally, I would like to discuss mental health outcomes for people formerly imprisoned at Angola.
