Madeline Moore Madeline Moore is a Canadian writer of erotica. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on August 12 in the year none-of-your-business.
She began writing erotica after participating in a workshop at Humber College in Toronto, Ontario. Her tutor, D.M. Thomas (esteemed author of The White Hotel) told her she wrote 'great sex without metaphor, which is hard to do.'
Woo hoo!
Madeline decided to be a writer at the tender age of twelve. After managing to get through highschool she pursued this single-minded objective by attending the Banff School of Fine Arts Creative Writing program, studying with the late great Canadian poet Al Purdy. At the University of Alberta she worked with prose author Doug Barber and playwright Sharon Pollock.
Madeline began her professional career as a screenwriter. She worked at CBC Radio as a story editor/production assistant before taking time off to produce adorable female offsprings, Thing One and Thing Two.
After her divorce, Madeline began writing erotica. Her first short stories were published early in the 21st Century. Her most popular novel is Sarah's Education, winner of Jade Magazine's 'cover art of the year 2009' award and listed as the 3rd of the 30 most titillating titles of all time in Daily Mail, 'Femail,' Nov. 12, 2012. (Read the 30 most titillating books of all time as libraries get in on the Fifty Shades effect with month-long erotic literature festival.)
It's pretty on the outside and dirty on the inside.
Sarah's Education: voted "third most titillating title of all time"
She lost her fiance and partner in all things, erotica author Felix Baron, on Dec. 22, 2013.
Madeline lives in the global village, perched on the edge of the largest city in Canada, where she remains isolated in the vast, apparently entirely unsexy great white north. Madeline continues to write and dream and stretch the envelope and your boundaries with her increasingly edgy prose.
