Anna-Maria Tallgren (married name Anna-Maria Tallgren-Kaila; 4 July 1886, died 12 March 1949)[1] was a Finnish essayist, critic, and translator.[1] She was a significant influence in Finnish literary life during the 1910s and 1920s, and is noted for criticism being her primary occupation, rather than a sideline to other writing.[2]
born in Ruovesiin died in Helsinki. Parents Provost Ivar Markus Tallgren and Jenny Maria Montin. Married in 1944 to Archbishop Erkki Kaila.
