^2 The 1952–53 FDGB-Pokal was abandoned after the first round due to due to the events around the Uprising of 1953 in East Germany. The competition was continued as 1953–54 FDGB-Pokal.
^3 Due to a change to a summer month league, a transition round was played in 1955, but no championship was awarded, nor were teams relegated or promoted.
^4 Relegated due to non-qualification for 2nd Bundesliga/Regionalliga/3rd Liga.
^5 The Saxony-Anhalt Cup consisted merely of the play-off of the two Bezirkspokal Magdeburg and Halle winners. FCM went out in the quarterfinals of the Bezirkspokal.
