User:Madalibi/Assassination of Queen Min
Appearance
The assassination of Queen Min was the murder of the Queen Consort (surnamed Min) of the Joseon Kingdom by Japanese thugs and disguised Japanese police on 8 October 1895. Miura Gorō, the Japanese minister in Korea, conceived and executed this plan without authorization from the Japanese imperial government. By killing the queen, Miura was trying to eliminate her family from politics because the Min clan had been consistently opposed to Japanese encroachment.
