[edit]Unlike reformers like Kang Youwei, who wanted to preserve the Qing dynasty and the monarchy, revolutionaries like Sun Yat-sen, Zou Rong, and Zhang Binglin advocated overthrowing the Qing through revolution. Their anti-Qing writings were also directed against the Manchus themselves.
