I am a retired engineer (after a very full career including many published journal articles) who has taken up writing for various magazines etc., and on the internet. My particular interests are macroeconomics (about which I soon expect to complete/publish a new book), poverty elimination, local history, physics and the technical explanations about how things work in general, and I have tried my hand a writing poems, too.
