Pop Art is a 15-minute short film written and directed by Amanda Boyle. It is an adaptation of a short story by Joe Hill about Toby (Bill Milner) and his friendship and protection of an inflatable boy called Arthur (Art for short).
The film was shot on location between 30 August and 6 September 2007.[1]
The film was shown at the London Film Festival on 21 and 23 October 2008[2] and won the audience award for narrative short at the Austin Film Festival that same year.[3] On 13 May 2009, the Curtis Brown Literary & Talent Agency reported that their client Boyle also won a Special Jury Award for Best Director at the Atlanta Film Festival.[4]
