Hello my name is Michelle Kaye and I am the Archives and Collections Assistant at Glasgow School of Art.
Work
[edit]Before joining Glasgow School of Art, I worked in various museum and archive roles at the National Trust for Scotland and The University of Glasgow, one of which was as Project Assistant for the Stoddard-Templeton Corporate and Design Archive, the archive of one of the world’s most successful carpet manufacturers.
Education
[edit]I have a First Class Honours Degree in History of Art and Slavonic Studies from the University of Glasgow.
Interests

- Art Nouveau and “Glasgow Style”
- architecture
- furniture and interiors
- decorative arts
- 20th century textile design
Responsibilities
[edit]I am responsible for:
- answering enquiries
- helping readers and assisting visitors with their research
- managing the searchroom
- cataloguing and repackaging GSA's archive collections
- managing the ACC blog
I am the first port of call at the Archives and Collections Centre.
