Emmanuel Whajah (born 18. August 1993 , in Hanover - Germany), professionally known as EMZYPRODUCTIONFILMS, is a Ghanaian - German creative director specializing in photography and creative direction, based in Germany. He works in the field of photography and videography internationally with well-known artists, such as Rita Ora, Eric Bellinger, Keke Palmer, Tyga, Ella Mai, Les Twins, Lauryn Hill, Burna Boy, Jorja Smith and Migos. Career
[edit]Born to Ghanaian parents, Whajah begun his career within the media industry as a video producer in Hanover. His biggest passion besides his work as a photographer/videographer is dancing. At a young age he pursued this passion and participated in many events. In 2006, among other things, he began to dance professionally and participated in Hip-Hop Dance Championships and is 4-time Northern German Champion and European Champion in Hip Hop Solo Adults Boys. He filmed and edited the videos of his dance group and posted them online. This was the beginning of his career and his first time with a camera.[2]
Entertainment career
[edit]Emmanuel began his video production career in 2012 and began directing dance videos. At a dance event he was supposed to film, the dancers Les Twins, who were on tour with Beyoncé at that time, had an appearance as special guests. After Whajah captured their performance on camera, the two brothers approached him after their performance and asked to see the footage. A few weeks later, they asked Emmanuel to accompany them on their Europe tour.[3][4]
