EmployBridge (formerly known as the Select Family of Staffing Companies) is an American company that provides temporary and permanent staff.
A member of the American Staffing Association, EmployBridge is ranked as the 10th-largest employment agency in the United States (3rd-largest for industrial staffing, 10th-largest for office/clerical, and 12th-largest for finance/accounting)[1] and the 14th largest in the world.[2] The company primarily offers services in human resources, and has approximately 400 offices in 46 states.
On January 5, 2015, Select announced its plans to merge with Atlanta-based EmployBridge to form the largest industrial staffing organization in the United States.[3][4]
History
[edit]EmployBridge was created from the combination of several staffing organizations that merged in the 1990s.[citation needed] In 1997, the company, originally formed as Staffing Resources Inc., combined its operations with Career Blazers, Inc., a New York-based staffing and permanent placement firm and became known as Career Blazers, Inc.[5] On October 27, 2000, Tom Bickes and Shawn Poole led a management buyout of the commercial segment of Career Blazers and EmployBridge Holding Company was created. From its inception, EmployBridge has had a keen focus on specializing in the light industrial staffing space through its specialty brands. In October 2013, EmployBridge acquired Employment Plus and rebranded Employment Plus as ResourceMFG. [citation needed]
In February 2015, The Select Family of Staffing Companies (now Select) and EmployBridge merged, maintaining the EmployBridge name for the holding company.
