A.F. James MacArthur is a radio broadcaster and multimedia journalist in Baltimore, MD. MacArthur, full name APOLLOS Frank-James MacArthur, is commonly known as "The Baltimore Spectator." The nick name came about in reference to an extremely popular Baltimore blog by the same name, covering crime, grime and politics, edited by MacArthur. Often referring to himself as an investigative journalist, he is a frequent contributor to talk radio programs the "Larry Young Morning Show" and "Taxi Talk With Larry "The Celebrity" Cab Driver"; both airing on Radio One Baltimore's news station WOLB 1010 am.

MacArthur holds the distinction of being a independent "street journalist" that has developed a wide following and an impressive lists of interviews including the Rev. Al Sharpton, Michael Jackson guitarist Jennifer Batten, now deposed former Baltimore City Mayor Sheila Dixon, Police Commissioners Ed Norris and Frederick Bealefeld, Sheriff John Anderson, and numerous other celebrities, media personalities, and government officials.

Recently MacArthur has also been contributing to Investigative Voice as a street crime reporter and photojournalist. His work has a distinct signature of gritty realism, often graphically depicting crime scenes, including showing murder victims and spilled out blood of crime victims.

Having an apparent lengthy arrest record, MacArthur is no stranger to controversy. A vocal critic of the Baltimore Police Department, Baltimore City government and the Baltimore Sun newspaper, MacArthur was once detained for 40 days, shuffled around between various correctional facilities in Baltimore, without being formally charged.
