Ecology Lab Pill Bugs
[edit]Pill bugs, better known as roly polies, are a form of terrestrial crustacean, which is part of the arthropod phylum. They are most commonly found more inland than most crustaceans, including in dry areas such as forests. This specific arthropod was also found using the funnel system, which uses a cup, a funnel and ethanol to capture insects and make sure they are dead upon capture.
The arthropod was stored in ethanol until it was used to be classified.
Then it was also used to determine the biodiversity within the area of the experiment.
