About me
[edit]As you can see my username is a play on my last name and the gluteus maximus, which is the largest of the three gluteal muscles, hope it made you smile.
Anyway, I am an OnCore Research Coordinator at the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation within the School of Medicine, where I work with the University's CTMS, OnCore. Previously, I was a Lead Research Associate in Emergency Medicine at Yale, where I worked on a project which helped to reduce the amount of ionizing radiation patients with renal colic receive from CT Scans.
I am also a Filemaker developer. I build desktop & iPad friendly databases and biorepositories for multiple departments at the university to help with efficient, safe and secure data capture. The iPad designed interfaces allow for safe and secure acquisition of patient signatures for informed consent and all the databases are HIPAA and HITECH compliant.
I graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2010 with a Bachelors in Biology and I'm currently a Master's degree student at Johns Hopkins University AAP in biotechnology. My hope is to use the Biotechnology degree to bridge the gap between the clinical research world and the IT world, to help make doing clinical research easier and more efficient.
