Reform Congregation Keneseth Israel is located at 8339 Old York Road on the corner of Old York Road and Township Line Road, Elkins Park, Pennsylvania.The synagogue was founded on March 21, 1847. It is the oldest reform synagogue in Philadelphia and the fourth oldest reform synagogue in the United States. Keneseth Israel played a major role in the development of Reform Judaism in America and remains a highly innovative congregation with extensive programming in the arts, Jewish education and in the use of technology to enhance the worship experience.
