From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Title 47 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) contains U.S. federal regulations for telecommunications.

Title 47 is divided into Parts, which are divided into Subparts, which are divided into sections, which are divided into paragraphs, which are sometimes further divided. Frequently you will see a reference to something like "§68.502(b)(1)", which is divided up like "§part.section(paragraph)(whatever)". The 100s digit of the section is the subpart. Subpart A is 0xx, subpart B is 1xx, subpart C is 2xx, and so on.

The Government Printing Office (GPO) has CFR Title 47 available online here. Unfortunately, §68.5xx ("Connectors") is "obsolete", and not available online. It appears to have been replaced by "T1.TR5-1999", which seems to be a proprietary standard, and not publicly available.

Following are tables of contents of various parts of the Title 47.

Because §68.5xx is not available from the GPO, I'm working from this PDF of §68. It seems to be good for the most part, although I suspect that there may be an error in §68.502(d)(2). Page numbers refer to page numbers in Title 47, not page numbers of the PDF. The PDF starts at Page 261.

For header rows, the a value in the notes column specifies what the notes are for that sub-section.
