Como Tú (English: Like You), is a song by Colombian recording artist Carlos Vives. Taken of his twelveth studio album El Rock de mi Pueblo (2005). It was released in 2004 by EMI Latin, as the lead single from the record. The song is about a ... "Como Tú" reached the number one the US Latin Songs "Billboard" chart in December 12, 2004, matching the fifth number one overall by Carlos Vives in that chart.

Background

During the beggining of aughts, Carlos Vives experimented the success with his eleventh album Déjame Entrar (2002). Normally, Vives released an album each two years.

Reception

The song was well received by the reviewers, Carlos Quintana of About.com rainked the song as the best song for Vives, exclajimf.... For Allmusic, the song was infinr... And other sources. The song was nominated for Song of the Year at the Grammys and won Best Tropical Song of the Year, that year.

On the charts, the song debuted at number 7 on the Billboard Latin Songs chart, two weeks later top the chart during two consecutives weeks, replacing Tu Amor by Olga Tañon. Also, the song peaked at number four on the Latin Pop Songs and number two on the Tropical Songs. A remix mof the song etered at Dance/Club Play Songs chart, and peaked at number twenty two.
