Inchbald School of Design [1]The Inchbald School of Design, the first interior design school in Europe, was founded by Jacqueline Duncan [2] in 1960 who remains Principal to this day. Twelve years later, the Inchbald underlined its academic relevance with the creation of a dedicated Garden Design School, the first (Garden Design School) in the world. The Inchbald School of Design was and remains a pioneer of vocational design training, continually setting world-class educational standards. Inchbald’s alumni include revered industry names such as Nina Campbell[3], Henrietta Spencer Churchill[4], Stephen Ryan, Diana Yakeley, Christophe Gollut, Luciano Giubellei, Jonathan Craggs, Zaha Hadid and Zeynep Fadillioglu.
Inchbald offers Post Graduate and Master qualifications as well as providing a wide selection of study courses, from three years to one day lectures, in Interior Decoration and other specialised subjects including Computer Aided Design.
It has recently inaugurated two online degree courses, The Online Postgraduate Diploma in Architectural Interior Design and the Online Postgraduate Diploma in Garden Design validated by the University of Wales.
The Inchbald School of Interior Design[5] is based at Eaton Gate whilst Inchbald School of Garden Design is based in Eccleston Square.
