Red Sun Revival are a gothic rock band formed in 2011 in London[1]. Influences include early 80s Gothic Rock as well as orchestral and choral aspects of film soundtracks as well as elements of folk music.
In April 2012 they played the second night of the Whitby Gothic Weekend[2] alongside Gene Loves Jezebel, Die Laughing, The Bellwether Syndicate, and Dead Eyes Opened
In 2013 Red Sun Revival performed at a number of venues arround the world including Emergency Exit Festival in Dornbirn, Austria; Mattatoio (Arci) in Carpi (Modena), Italy and The Lexington in London where they supported The Eden House. During this time the band also performed a number of concerts at the O2 Academy in Islington. They also performed at the Dark Waters Festival in Nottingham.[3]
In 2014 they continued to tour while also developing new material. The band perfomed in Athens, Berlin (Dark Spring Festival), London (where they headlined at Electrowerkz), Düsseldorf (Gotham Sounds Festival), Madrid and Worcester

[edit]Running From the Dawn
[edit]The album consists of music primarily composed by Rob Leydon[4][5] over a four-year period between 2007 and 2010[6]. It was mixed and produced by Steve Carey[7] of The Eden House, NFD and This Burning Effigy. It features guest recordings from violinist Bob Loveday[8] of Bob Geldof‘s band. Running from the Dawn was mastered by the twice Grammy nominated sound engineer Andy Jackson[9], producer of Pink Floyd’s Division Bell album. Photography for the album and website was undertaken by Taya Uddin.[10]
Static Magazin declared Red Sun Revival "Artist of the Month" November 2011[11] based on a review of the album Running From The Dawn.
Embers EP
[edit]Embers is a 4 track EP that was released on 26 September 2014. It featured Simon Rippin on drums and Sophie Mobbs on backing vocals.[12] Embers was mixed and produced by Stephen Carey.

Band Members
[edit]Red Sun Revival was founded by Rob Leydon[13] (Founding member of Voices of Masada[14][15] signed to Strobelight Records). Leydon also plays guitar for the Adoration[16] and as a session guitarist for NOSFERATU and The Eden House[17][18]
He is joined[19] by guitar tutor[20] Matt Helm, Panos Theodoropoulos on Bass and Christina Emery on Violin.
