Sydney Ella-Mae Samuels (born June 1996) is a British CEO and Founder of Loop Not Luck. She launched Loop Not Luck in May 2021.

Early life and education

Samuels was born in Lewisham, England to an English mother and a half Jamaican and half Sierra-Leonean father. She grew up in Nunhead, Peckham and attended Sydenham School. She moved to Sheffield for University at age 18 where she studied English Literature and Philosophy. She now resides in London.

In her younger years, she won Dragon’s Den at 11 years old and Peter Jones invested in her idea.

Career

In September 2017 to November 2019, Sydney worked at Nomura, a Japanese Investment Bank.
In November 2019 to April 2021, Sydney worked at Y Tree, a financial life intelligence start-up company.
In July 2021, Sydney founded Loop Not Luck, an employment website.

Awards and Honours

In 2022, she was included in one of CEO Weekly’s 7 CEOs Transforming Business through Innovation.
