2003/2004 Produced and filmed an extensive series of interviews dealing directly with the 2004 presidential election. Interviews with independent and democratic presidential candidates, CNN and MSNBC pundits as well as with many American citizens.
2004- Filmed a documentary on the January 12th. 2004 non binding primary in Washington, DC.
2003- Produced, directed and edited landmark interview with Presidential Candidate Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich. The interview was broadcast nationally on Free Speech T.V. 11 times during the 2003/2004 presidential primary.
2003- Organized successful fund raiser for Presidential Candidate Al Sharpton at film director Spike Lee's home on Martha's Vineyard thanks to Tonya Lee.
2003- Produced the television documentary "Battle Plan or Pipe Dream" for Free Speech T.V. which chronicles the American progressive movement's 2003 "Take Back America" conference in Washington, D.C., in which the Democratic Presidential candidates presented their case to be the Parties nominee. Produced interviews with Jesse jackson, Al Sharpton, former Clinton Labor Secretary Robert Reich, Presidential candidate Ohio congressman Dennis Kucinich, Rock the Vote's Jehmu Green etc.
2003- Was a regular film contributor to Democracy Now which broadcasts live on the Pacifica radio network as well as on Free Speech T.V. .
2003-Launched the “They’re Corrupt Because You Don’t Vote” Bumper Sticker Campaign to inspire majorities of eligible voters to vote in all elections. The campaign can be viewed at http://dadapop.com . Published over fifty articles in the last two years that have been read by millions of people world wide.
2002-2004 Filmed and edited feature documentary "The Peace Movement" under the “Build Up To Peace” tested at the Martha’s Vineyard Film Festival. Build Up To Peace showcases the speeches, the music and the poetry from the major US rallies in opposition to the war on Iraq.
2002- http://stolenchildhoods.org . Lloyd Hart became an associate producer on Stolen Childhoods by producing the World Bank interviews that became integral to the films' completion. Also involving film producer and director Peter Farrelly (the Farrelly Brothers) and his wife Melinda Farrelly in the project who contributed financially and thanks to Peter's and Melinda's involvement Meryl Streep agreed to narrarate the film.
2002- Launched the production of a documentary on globalization by travelling to New York to film the protests against the World Economic Forum (WEF) and later to Washington, DC to film the World Bank Protests. Lloyd Hart's footage from the World Economic Forum protests was used in the NYC Indymedia/Freespeach TV satilite and web cast of the Febuary 22nd Protests against WEF. http:behindthelabel.org aslo subscribed using footage.
2002- Interviewed Greg Palast on Globalization during the WEF protests on his not yet to be published up coming New York Times best seller "The Best Democracy Money Can Buy" http://gregpalast.com/detail.cfm?artid=128&row=1 . The transcript from the Greg Palast interview was published by Z magazine and has been read by over a million people world wide.
2002 Co-organized a fund raiser for Senator John Kerry on Martha’s Vineyard.
2001- Filmed documentary of my mothers return to Latvia after a sixty year absence.
2000- Delivered the threat of a lawsuit on behalf of and being brought by David Frankel, Woody Harrelson's lawyer, a lawsuit financially backed by Woody Harrelson, to the Government of Bill Clinton. Four-star general Barry McCaffrey, the drug czar Bill Clinton appointed busted a couple truckloads of hempseed headed to American bird seed companies. Eric Lineback and Eric Steenstra of the Hemp Industries Association and Lloyd Hart met with high-level aides to Senator Kerry and Senator Kennedy as Lloyd Hart lives in Massachusetts and is connected to both senators. The threat of a Hemp lawsuit in the middle of an election year seemed to be successful. Within two weeks after the visit to Kerry's and Kennedy's offices in Washington D.C. the then Attorney General Janet Reno sent General Barry McCaffrey a letter ordering him to cease and desist from any further investigations and seizures of industrial hemp products in America.
2000- Conceptualized, founded and was National coordinator of VoteHemp.org. Personally conducted the first ever survey of congressional and presidential candidates on their position on Industrial Hemp for the purposes of publishing an online voter guide. Coordinated a national team of activists to promote voter guide. Designed and structured the online voter guide. Distributed 150,000 pamphlets nation wide promoting the online voter guide producing over a 100,000 unique visitors to the web site. Set up online voter registration. Distributed thousands of voter registration forms. Met with President Clinton and Senatorial Candidate Hillary Clinton. Traveled to Washington to lead effort to convince pro Hemp Democrats including Barney Frank and specifically President Clinton to derail proposed DEA rules that were to be published in the final days of the Clinton Presidency. This effort succeeded.
2000- Was contacted by Justice Dept. whistle blower who provided information that the DEA was going to complete the publishing of a perminent ban on Hemp Food and Cosmetic products. Lloyd Hart travelled to DC to put a stop to DEAs' activities. Lobbying the Clinton administration and by putting the chief outside council to the DNC Joe Sandler in charge of the Hemp industries regulatory law suit against the DEA hemp food ban (which later succeeded in saving the hemp food industry) pushed the Hemp ban issue into the Bush presidency. Was contacted again by the same Justice Dept. whistle blower who provided information that the DEA would under the Bush Administration, ban Hemp Food and Cosmetic products as soon as Asa Hutchinson was confirmed as head of DEA. Still maintaining contacts at the justice to monitor the issue.
2000- Contributed to Senator Kennedy’s campaign. Organized and raised campaign funds and contributed to Hillary Clinton’s campaign fund raiser at Frank and Carol Biondi’s house on Martha’s Vinyard.
1999-2000- Contributing, volunteering, advising and fund raising for the Gore campaign. Convinced Gore campaign to take on pro medical cannabis position. Worked full time in the final 10 days of the Gore Campaign to win the New Hampshire primary.
1996- Worked pulling the vote for Sen. John Kerry and the Clinton/Gore campaign on election day.
1992- Worked on Jerry Brown's successful caucus in Vermont and in the fall Presidential election worked full time for three months up until the victory in the Clinton Gore Campaign.
1990- Worked for Clean Water Action on the Environmental Shoppers Campaign which established organic produce and natural foods sections in the major super markets throughtout America causing the single largest. Broke fund raising records in the campaign.
1990- Namiko and Lloyd get married in Newton, MA.
1989- Attended the Kalachakra Initiation with the Dalai Llama in San Diego CA. for ten Days.
1989- Co-organized the Anti Nazi League in Vancouver B.C. bringing together the Jewish Congress, the Committee For Racial Justice and many student groups to out number and rally against the Nazi Skin heads, the KKK and the Aryan Nations who were organizing the homeless youth into violence in the street of Vancouver, B.C..
1989- Worked as an extra for Canal Films in Vancouver, B.C. on a variety of shows including 21 Jump Street.
1988- Campaigned full time for the entire duration of campaign for NDP civic candidates in Toronto as well as for federal NDP candidate Anna Monozi running for Member of Parliament.
1988- Campaigned against salmon fish farms in BC for indiscriminately killing wild life including personally investigating and gathering evidence that led to charges and a conviction brought against a farm for killing a protected species of otters. Worked with Seattle, WA Greenpeace to expose to retailers including Whole Foods Inc. of the extensive feed and feces and fish disease polution caused by open ocean Salmon Fish farms.
1987- Conducted 60 day hunger strike against the resumption of uranium mining in British Columbia in honor of his father George William Hart who died of radiation poisoning while developing computerized fail safe systems for Atomic Energy of Canada LTD. Campaigned and organized the raising funds on the issue for the following year getting thousands of people to sign the petition including Cindy Lauper, Roger Waters, the Cure, the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, D.O.A and many others.
1987- Helped create a network of Labor unions, environmental groups who’s efforts helped create, within the official opposition of the New Democratic Party (NDP) of BC an official position on against Uranium mining. The leader of the NDP Mike Harcourt at the time of the hunger strike promised Lloyd Hart he would ban uranium mining in B.C. permanently if he became Premier of B.C. and he did so. Lloyd Hart also received a Queens Welcome and was honored into the British Columbia legislature and the permanent record and given a standing ovation by the opposition, the NDP, for taking the stand against uranium mining in British Columbia.
1987- Recorded and released a single.
1986 -Volunteered full time for the entire period of campaign for BC NDP MLA races for the legislature.
1983-84- Marketed and sold fine and commercial art in the limited and litho print business as an independent representative throughout North America in association with the Union du Pacifist in Montreal and the George Orwell Estate.
