When I was a student at my university, I studyed hard for my major which is Information Management and Information Systems. I got a wide variety of knowledge about information science. However, from my perspective, I just know a little bit about information science. Thus, I decided to study abroad in order to systematically learn how to manage and analyze data.

As some of you might know, I am studying at University of Pittsburgh, which is significantly famous around the world. Here, I can learn the knowledge from a different aspect, that is learning information knowledge in English, since English is not my native language. Luckily, I have many Chinese classmates. With thier great help, I can quickly get used to American life as well as academic research. Besiedes, this is my first semester in Pitt and I have chosen Social Computing as one of my courses. I think I will acquire different aspects of knowledge about social computing since I have an opportunity to work with my classmates, who are skillful students.

Before I came here, I did some preparation for achieving my academic goal. I learned a little bit programming language such as C, Java, Jsp, and HTML. Also, I have acquired some knowledge, like database management, data structure, project manegement, and the theory of manegement. Finally, I gained some experience which is considerably important to me is establishing SSH framework for website.

In the end, I am so glad you pay attention to me and I would be appreciated if you share some experience or recommedations for me.
