The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) is responsible for the establishment and maintenance of a state highway network in the state of Nevada, which includes Interstate highways, U.S. highways, and state routes. U.S. and Interstate highways exist in the same numbering system as state routes, and therefore do not duplicate route numbers. References to routes typically abbreviate the type: "I-x" for Interstates, "US x" for U.S. highways, and "SR x" for state routes.
Other regionally-significant highways and roads important to transportation in Nevada also exist, which are maintained by entities other than NDOT.
