Casting and creation

In May 2018, it was announced that Kyle Lowder — who previously portrayed the role of Brady Black from 2000 to 2005 — would be returning to Days of Our Lives in an "undisclosed role."^[1] In September 2018, it was announced that Lowder had been cast in the role of Rex Brady; he made his first appearance on October 19, 2018.
