Dixie Louise Cooney is a fictional character from All My Children, an American soap opera, formerly of the ABC network, and Hulu. Portrayed by actress Cady McClain, the character was created by by then-executive producer Stephen Schenkel and head writer Lorraine Broderick, first appearing in July 1988. Before McClain portrayed the role of Dixie, she was originated by actress Kari Gibson, who portrayed the character for four months, from July to October 1988.
