NINA SAVENKOVA

Nina Savenkova (Нина Урванцева, Nina D. Savenko-Barnack, Russian Literary Name Нина Савенкова, born in 1947 in Komsomolsk-on-Amur (Far East of Russia) Contemporary Russian poet, writer, journalist, artist. The first known collection of her poetry "Вещие персты на живые струны" was published in 1993 in Vladivostok by STEPS,Inc. (СТУПЕНИ), and its later translation into English: "To Put Inspired Fingers on Living Strings" was published by Pacific Нouse Publishing in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1997. This work was acknowledged by Alexander Mezhirov,Yuri Druzhnikov and Andrew Carroll. The United States government granted Nina an Extraordinary Ability Green Card in 2003. Her most recent publications were in St.Petersburg publishing company VESTY(ВЕСТИ) in 2001 and VREMIA (ВРЕМЯ)in Moscow "Vishivanie nit'iu Ariadny" ("Вышивание нитью Ариадны") in 2010.
