Jupiter from Sagittarius, transits into Capricorn (makara rasi) on 9th dec at 23 h, 41 m. (Indian ephemeris 2008, transit of planets into nirayana rasis, 2008, IST). Jupiter moves into Aquarius on 1-5-09. Jupiter retrogrades & re enters Capricorn on 3 0/7/09 and remains in Capricorn till 18-12-09. Jupiter enters Aquarius on 19/12/09. Jupiter is considered as the greatest benefic planet producing good effects. Its transits are pleasant & usually benefic. It is a planet of growth, expansion & enlargement. Jupiter uplifts the source & encourages one to lead a spiritual life. It rules the law & legal system in Hindu astrology. It is also dhana karaka & putra karaka. It also full fills the desire of the native.
Jupiter is called the major benefic planet which protects at the eleventh hour.
Jupiter takes approximately 12 years to come to one full circle. On an average Jupiter stays one year in a house / Rasi.
Jupiter gives auspicious results when transiting 2nd, 5th. 7th 9th & 11th house respectively from the moon in a rasi chart, provided there is no planet transiting the 12th house, 4th house, 3rd house & 8th house, respectively from the natal moon in the Rasi chart. If any other planet transits these houses, it known to cause Vedha, & Jupiter will not be able to bestow good results.
Jupiter gives inauspicious results in the houses 1,3,4,6,8,10 &12th house respectively from the natal moon. The factor of correction of the evil transit of Jupiter gets cancelled, & this factor is known as ‘Vedha’ in the classical texts. If any other planet is transiting the vedha house the ill effects of the bad transit gets reduced, & the planet remains a neutral. (The transit effects are neither good nor bad).t The vedha points for the inauspicious transit of Jupiter is 1st,2nd,5th,6th,7th,9th, & 11th respectively. This concept is known as Vipreetha Veda.
The transit results of Jupiter are based on janma Rasi in general.
(Position of moon in the horoscope of the native would indicate the Rasi). As such those having favorable aspects according to Dasha Bukthi in their horoscope will have favorable results from the indications made there in. Those having adverse aspects according to current directions will experience these predictions to a lesser extent. These predictions are based on clear interpretation of transit of Jupiter, Vedhas & vipreeta vedha &, taking into consideration of moorti niranaya.
Aries: Mesha Rasi: (Aries): Aswini , Bharani , Kritika 1: (chu,chey,cho,la,li,lu,ley,lo,Aa) From 9-12-08 to 8-2-08, Jupiter transits the malefic 10th house, & is under check, due to vipreeta vedha. From 8-2-09 to 30-4-09 Jupiter turns malefic, as there is no vedha. From 1-5-09 Jupiter benefic on entering Aquarius, is under check due to vedha, & remains neutral. From 30-7-09 to 18-12-09 Jupiter in makara becomes malefic. Mesha Rasi natives may have to face the wrath of superiors at office, demotion in jobs, loss of status in service, displeasure of Superiors , loss of money & prestige, involvement in scandal , may face domestic troubles, loss of confidence, & involve in property disputes, & suffer bad health. From 1-5-09 to 24-5-09 Jupiter moves into Aquarius, the benefic 9th house & under Vedha. From 25-5-09 to 29-7-09 Jupiter turns most benefic in 9th & free. From 1-5-09 to 29-07-09 Jupiter in Aquarius is malefic and free. From 30-07-09 to 17-11-07 Jupiter in makara is malefic and free. From 17-11-09 to 18-12-09 Jupiter in 12th is under check by vedha. Kumbha natives could face separation from families, difficulties in sale of properties and undergo financial difficulties, detoriation of wealth, loss in speculation and gambling and expenditure on many funds are foreseen.
