The scientific questions raised by Hypatia in the film AGORA are absurd and unfounded, in fact the elliptic orbits were discovered by Kepler in Astronomia Nova (1609), only by deriving Mars orbit obtained with the accurancy of Tycho Brahe data, and not with the Sun, as pretended in the film (James Evans, "The history and Practice of Ancient Astronomy", Oxford University Press, 1988, p. 427-438).
This scientific contribution was three times deleted, and it received a warning !!!
