History

[edit]

Founded in September 2011, Brant and former business partner, Alejandro Guzman came up with the concept of starting a community where artist are published and recognized. In a January 2013 article published on the website Before Its News.com, Brant was quoted as saying, "We want our readers, writers, and artists to feel like they are in a community, where they can socialize, making it feel like a growing art commune.[2]" Blognostics first published artist was Jenni De La Torre, who published a poetry piece titled, "Free At Last Jenni De La Torre" in August 2011 before the site went live. After a two-year partnership, Brant and Guzman parted ways following creative differences in February 2013. Since that time, Brant has been operating and running the site by herself.
